Each September I love to visit a local sunflower farm near my home in Portland, Oregon. The combination of crisp, fall air, tall evergreens, and sunflowers as far as the eye can see is so captivating. As I wander the rows of blooms I can watch the bees moving from flower to flower. It's such a peaceful experience that touches all the senses and helped inspire the Honey Bees and Flowers Please collection. I tried to capture the beauty and synergy that exists between the majestic sunflowers and noble bees and can't wait to see how sewists and quilters use this collection.
